Paco Rey explains how he used his 1896 great-grandmother’s cross-stitch cloth to make one of his rosette designs! We visited him at his workshop in Southwest Spain.
Like many guitar makers in Spain, Paco Rey also started out as a cabinet-maker and later became a guitarrero. We went to his workshop in the southwest of Spain, Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, where it used to be a cabinet-maker workshop, now years ago Paco transformed it into a beautiful and very functional guitar workshop where he spends hours every day making his prized guitars which are in great demand in Spain.
