Introduction of the book you can find at the Back Cover:
The violin is Italian, the bow is French, but the guitar is Spanish. This book traces two hundred years of history from its origins until 1950. Ninety-five historical instruments are presented, mostly unknown, modest or luxurious, typical of an era, a repertoire but especially a country and a culture.
We see in particular the guitars of Durán, Sanguino, Pagés, Benedid, Pernas, Torres, Santos Hernandez, Fleta. Three top French luthiers, Françoise de Ridder, Daniel Sinier and Jérôme Casanova share their passion and years of experience.
( please note that from the new 2021 edition the cover of this book is paperback instead of hardcover. )
